Rebecca Teague
Rebecca Teague is the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, Research, and Grants at Mt. San Jacinto College in California. She joined MSJC in 2004 as the college’s first Grant Writer and has since served as the Coordinator of Grants, Director of Grants, Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the past 11 years. Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UCLA and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
She has nearly 20 years of successful proposal development, writing, and grant management experience. Since joining MSJC, she has helped to secure more than $35 million in federal, state, and private grants focused on student equity and achievement including grants from the US Department of Education Title V, US Department of Education CCRAA/STEM, USDA HSI Education Grant Programs, and TRIO. Additionally, she has acted as the Project Director for the College’s Title V and STEM grant programs.
Rebecca has extensive experience in program evaluation and assessment. She has success in integrating data, research, and short- and long-term institutional planning with resource allocation and institutional prioritization. She intentionally creates links between the temporary nature of categorical programs and the long-term priorities of the institution. She has ensured that high impact practices are institutionalized and that institutional resources are leveraged to ensure the long-term viability, scalability, and sustainability of a program.
