The Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators will be awarding several scholarships for students, which will include registration to attend the 18th Annual 2026 AHSIE Best Practices Conference scheduled March 8-11, 2026 at the Sheraton Boston - Boston, MA. Scholarship categories include: associate’s level, bachelor’s level, and graduate/doctoral levels.

Recipients will be selected based on the following eligibility requirements:

  • First-Generation college student

  • Currently attend an HSI or eHSI in U.S. or Puerto Rico

  • Must minimally turn 18 by March 8, 2026

  • Enrolled full-time in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

  • Have high financial need 

  • Undocumented students are eligible to apply

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Completed application (including 3 imbedded short essays)

  • Scholarship recipients must attend the AHSIE Conference (if unable to travel,
    possible exceptions will be considered)

The ideal candidate will demonstrate not only academic achievement, but also the potential for leadership and contribution to the community. By attending this conference, we hope to provide students the ability to broaden experiences, develop networks and foster mentorship possibilities with HSI designated campus professionals.

The award package includes cash scholarship, conference registration, travel & hotel
expense, and recipients will be honored at the AHSIE Conference.

New Scholarship cycle will open in Fall 2026. To be presented for 2027 Conference.
