Dr. Elizabeth Gonzalez appointed as the inaugural HSI Director at UCLA's Office of the Chancellor.

AHSIE is overjoyed to share that Dr. Elizabeth Gonzalez has been recently appointed as the inaugural HSI Director at UCLA's Office of the Chancellor. Her appointment comes as UCLA's HSI Task Force publishes its report, Cultivating the Seeds of Change – Becoming a Hispanic Serving Institution. You can read the report here.

The report represents the collective work of nearly 40 UCLA faculty and professional staff members, led by the task force’s three co-chairs, sociology professor Vilma Ortiz, education professor Sylvia Hurtado and Alfred Herrera, assistant vice provost for academic partnerships and director of UCLA’s Center for Community College Partnerships.

You can read more about Dr. Gonzalez's appointment here.

Dr. Gonzalez currently serves as Vice President of Conference for AHSIE.

We invite you to join us in congratulating UCLA's faculty, professional staff, and administrators for their work serving Latinx and low-income students.
