About Polet
Polet Aguilar is an instructional coach, educator, and community advocate with over seven years of experience serving students, families, and educators in a Title I school district in Phoenix, Arizona that serves a predominantly Hispanic community. She began her career as a classroom teacher, working across preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and upper elementary grade levels, where she developed a strong foundation in early literacy, bilingual education, and culturally responsive teaching.
Currently, Polet serves as an instructional coach and teacher mentor, where she supports educators with diverse backgrounds, levels of experience, and learning preferences. She is a member of her school’s leadership team and plays a key role in professional development, instructional planning, and family engagement initiatives. Polet also leads districtwide parent meetings and co-leads the gifted program, strengthening trust and partnerships between schools and families.
In addition, Polet is the coordinator and primary point of contact for a long-standing partnership with PBS, managing summer learning camps that integrate literacy, science, and math for elementary students in underserved communities. Through this work, she oversees curriculum implementation, staffing, scheduling, and community outreach. As part of her advocacy efforts,
Polet traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for PBS programs and the critical support they provide to early childhood education, summer learning, and Title I schools. A bilingual, first-generation Latina and immigrant, Polet is deeply committed to expanding access to education and strengthening pathways from K–12 to higher education. She is passionate about representation, student advocacy, and creating systems that support Latino and first-generation students. Polet brings strong communication skills, leadership experience, and a collaborative mindset to all spaces she serves and is dedicated to advancing equity, opportunity, and student success.
